We're proud to introduce One Planet to the Bluey's Outdoors range.
Melbourne based and mostly Aussie made, One Planet has spent decades designing outdoor gear built specifically for our climates. Not the European Alps, not the Rockies, our climate: the unpredictable High Country, alpine snow at Falls Creek and Hotham, and everything in between on a shoulder-season hike.
Designed for our conditions
A lot of outdoor gear is designed overseas and adapted for the Australian market after the fact. One Planet does it the other way around. Their gear is built with our terrain, our weather swings, and our trips in mind from the start, which matters more than people realise once you're actually out there.
Why their sleeping bag ratings are different
One thing that sets the range apart: every One Planet sleeping bag carries both a male and female comfort rating, alongside an extreme rating.
This isn't a gimmick. Research into thermoregulation shows male and female bodies respond differently to cold, generally, male bodies run a higher metabolic rate in cold conditions, while female bodies begin defending against cold at a warmer temperature. In practice, that means the same bag can feel warm enough for one person and too cold for another, well before the bag's stated rating kicks in.
By rating bags for both, One Planet gives you a far more honest picture of how a bag will actually perform for you, not just a generic number that may or may not apply.

The range at Bluey's
We're stocking five bags across the One Planet range, covering everything from a lightweight overnighter to serious alpine conditions:
- Summit – the entry point into the range
- Camplite – a solid all-rounder for most NE Victorian conditions
- Cocoon – built for colder, more demanding trips
- Bushlite – for deeper winter conditions
- Rumour – the top of the range, for the coldest trips you'll throw at it
Each model comes in Regular and Large sizing, so fit is worth checking against your own height rather than assuming one size suits all.
